Reason for Selection:
This project makes it possible to improve the quality of meals through IoT by recognizing a user's eating habits in real-time and expressing their quality through color changes.
To make the picture on the canvas vibrant, one must eat a balanced meal at an appropriate pace, which naturally leads to a healthier diet. We selected this project for its ability to encourage a higher quality of life through the slow enjoyment of colorful, well-balanced meals.

We selected this project for its use of drones to construct structures strong enough to support a person.

How intelligently do organisms search for smells? Constructing a new theory to unravel search strategies resilient to noise
Reason for Selection:
A new theory was constructed that links optimal detection with optimal control, exploring how well biological odor detection systems work.
By elucidating the mechanism for optimal scent detection in the presence of noise, this research is expected to have future applications in search robots, which is why it was selected.

The ability to handle various patterns suggests it could bridge the digital field and ceramic arts. We selected this project with the expectation that it could lead to new ways of enjoying food.

Reason for Selection:
The preservation and transmission of historical structures and traditional culture have become a social issue due to the aging of technicians and a lack of successors, driven by a declining birthrate and aging population.
This proposal achieves the preservation and transmission of Japanese traditional culture by utilizing the latest digital technologies such as robot arms and 3D printers. We were impressed by the excellence of this initiative and have high expectations for it.

Reason for Selection:
As of 2024, the annual loss in Japan due to traffic congestion is said to be approximately 10 trillion yen.
This project can predict when and where traffic jams will occur, and has reportedly achieved high-precision predictions in an experiment to forecast congestion one hour ahead.
We selected this project because we feel it has the potential to advance future logistics and morning/evening commutes.

Reason for Selection:
We hear that the supply of guide dogs is insufficient.
In addition to being a dog lover myself, my experience supervising pet-friendly housing in Tokyo and advising pet-friendly hotels has given me many opportunities to speak with pet owners, including visually impaired individuals with guide dogs.
The situation is not simply solved by increasing the number of trained dogs. It is necessary to think from a different perspective, and we believe this proposal could be a part of the solution.
